Pan-fried shiitake mushrooms with leeks is a quick and easy vegetarian dish where the distinct aromas of garlic, leeks, and sesame come together into a rich and warm flavor combination.

Ingredients:

  • 300 g shiitake mushrooms
  • 2 leeks
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • Fresh dill
  • Sesame seeds
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Slice the shiitake mushrooms (or halve them if small), cut the leeks into rings about 1 cm wide, and finely chop the garlic.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over high heat. Then add the mushrooms and fry for 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are nicely browned.
  3. Add the leeks and cook for another 3 minutes until softened. Then add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil, mix well. Cook for another 1–2 minutes so all the flavors combine.
