Asian Pork Stew with Vegetables

Ingredients:

  • 400 g pork ham or other lean meat
  • 200 g bell pepper
  • 200 g cabbage
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp. melted butter for frying
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • paprika powder, to taste
  • curry powder, to taste
  • sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

For the salad:

  • 300 g carrots
  • 150 g cucumbers
  • 1-2 tbsp. Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp. mustard
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste

Directions:

  1. Cut the meat into strips, season with spices, place in a heated pan with melted butter and fry. When the meat is cooked, set aside.
  2. Add the peppers cut into strips and chopped cabbage to the pan and fry lightly. The peppers should remain crispy.
  3. Mix the tomato paste with soy sauce and a little water (adjust the amount of water according to the desired thickness of the sauce).
  4. Put the cooked meat in the pan with vegetables and pour the tomato paste and soy sauce mixture, mix everything and fry for 5-8 minutes.
  5. For the salad, grate the carrots into straws, cut the cucumbers into straws, mix with yogurt, mustard and spices.
  6. Serve the stew with salad. When serving, the stew can be sprinkled with sesame seeds.
